Information Resources developed many of the procedures that
are used in our industry today. We make it a part of our business to know and
stay current with the ever-changing laws affecting our industry. We take the
responsibility to inform, assist, and guide our clients so that they perform
their screenings in accordance with all local, State and Federal regulations.
In 1988, when Information Resources began providing these
services, there were not many companies in the pre-employment screening
industry. In addition to being a pioneer in this industry, Information Resources
began providing a much quicker turnaround time than other companies. We
understood that although a five-day turnaround time was the norm, it was not
acceptable to companies, which had to make hiring decision quickly so as not to
lose good candidates to competitors. Reducing turnaround time to two-to-three
business days made Information Resources an early leader in the industry. It is
most important for us to maintain our strongest asset - our person to person
customer service. The first thing that you will notice when calling our company
is that a person, not a machine, answers your call. People have a lot of
questions regarding employment screening and we're here to answer them.
Credit bureaus provide credit reports through databases, as do
companies that provide driving history (MVR reports). When it comes
to criminal searches, though, best practice is to search directly
through the county courts as determined by where your candidate has
lived, worked, or attended school. These court searches provide the
most current and comprehensive information.
Verify
VERIFY is our online
background screening program that is the gateway to ordering and receiving
reports using our Direct Source service. You can order background checks by
entering the candidate's information directly into our system or by having
your applicant fill out an online application. Our expert staff will perform
the screening process and you will receive an email containing a secure link
to your report.
If you desire, you can FAX the application to our office and we will
perform the data entry necessary to begin the background check. When the
work is completed we can email the results to you or you can view the
results online. All of the information will be saved and you can access it
at any time in the future.
